Volume I, April 2025 – Risograph print, 28 pages + loose print (13 × 19 cm), 14 × 20 cm, black and white
This intimate visual study of sleep paralysis explores the body as both captive and spectre. Rooted in personal
experience and shaped by diverse narratives surrounding this liminal state, the work navigates the thresholds
between waking and dreaming, presence and immobility, fear and fascination.

Inspired by early 1990s zines connected to music subcultures, such as Slayer and the raw aesthetics of black
metal ephemera, the publication embraces a lo-fi, ghostly approach to both form and tone.

Printed entirely in black-and-white risograph, the 28-page zine combines imagery with handwritten text.
Aside from a small logo, all writing is done by hand, allowing each copy to carry a slightly different
rhythm, like a recurring vision that never returns quite the same way.

The risograph’s granular texture enhances the sense of unstable stillness and dissociation. Each zine includes
a loose risograph print (13 × 19 cm), a quiet companion piece, a fragment from the same haunted terrain.
This publication is both a tactile object and a visual meditation: a slow unfolding of nocturnal states and fragile
embodiment.
